Description

There will be 6 team spots in the 2025 one-design Fall J80 series. Our fleet of J80s grew from 4 to 6 in the past year and following a summer filled with PHRF and one-design race training and we are excited to announce a 6 week fall series of short course racing (with one additional practice day)! Spots are limited, we look forward to seeing you out there!

Before you pay for your team your entire team must be signed up and skippers must be approved by a member of our J80 Race management team. Significant racing experience is required, if you have not raced with Courageous before or you already completed the signup form and have yet to receive confirmation, please email Caitlyn@courageoussailing.org

All teams must complete the following steps before their registration is considered “Final”. If a team has not completed the steps below they may be subject to losing their spot.

  1. All new teams must contact Caitlyn and cc Leo and Nate for pre-approval (Leo@courageoussailing.org & Nate@courageoussailing.org)
  2. All approved or returning teams must complete the registration.
  3. Review the NOR)
  4. Payment must be submitted ($800 per boat/team for members* or $950 per boat/team for non-members)

*If any member of your J80 team is a Courageous Sailing member your are eligible for the “member” rate for your team

Dates

  • Sunday, September 14- Practice Day- Come down and get to know our fleet and practice with your team
  • Sunday, September 21- Series begins
  • Sun, October 26- Final day and awards

Times

Sundays: September 14,21,28

  • 2:30pm- Boats are available for rigging
  • 2:45- Skippers Meeting
  • 3:00- First Gun
  • 5:40- No start will fall after 5:40pm

Sundays: October 5, 12, 19, 26

  • 1:30pm- Boats are available for rigging
  • 1:45- Skippers Meeting
  • 2:00- First Gun
  • 4:40- No start will fall after 4:40pm
Waitlist

If you are unable to field a complete team, can not make a full payment at this time, or all 6 team spots have been allocated, please email Caitlyn@courageoussailing.org and ask to be placed on the waiting list. In the event a team drops out, waitlisted teams will be given the opportunity to claim the vacated team spot.
