JP2: Beginner/Intermediate Sailing
Description
After students have spent one or two summers at Jamaica Pond in the beginner course, JP1, they are ready to take on more advanced sailing in the JP2 course. This is a 2-week course that invites these more experienced sailors to practice skippering and sailing without an instructor; this session will see them on Ventures as well as RS Quests, which are designed to get sailors comfortable with capsizing and the other basics of sailing in dinghies. Instructors provide diverse activities, games, and drills for sailors to become confident as well as explore the technical side of sailing in preparation to move onto more advanced Steps in Charlestown.
