Work for Courageous
**At this time, we remain hopeful that we will be able to run in-person program but this will be depend on current CDC, state, and local guidelines. Employment opportunities in 2021 will be dependent on the form of our programs which will be shaped by the aforementioned guidelines.**
At Courageous we are committed to making the highest quality sailing education accessible to the community. We rely on instructors and staff members who are great sailors as well as great teachers. Our staff members are dedicated and hardworking, able to handle any number of unexpected surprises the day throws their way, and enjoy working outdoors. Come join an incredible team of people as we work to provide access to the water and have a great time doing it.
About Courageous Sailing
Courageous Sailing is a non-profit sailing center dedicated to transforming the lives of youth and adults from all backgrounds through sailing. Over half of our Summer Youth Program participants receive scholarships. The program has been in continuous operation since 1987 and is based in the Charlestown Navy Yard on Boston Harbor. The youth program is supported by the operation of the adult program, grants, corporate sponsorships, individual donations and fundraising events. With a large fleet of Rhodes 19s, J80s, 420s, Lasers, RS Quests, RS Ventures, and an assortment of 30-35′ cruising boats, Courageous is one of the largest nonprofit, keelboat-based sailing schools and community sailing programs in the northeast. Courageous’s adult and corporate programs are the largest single source of revenue for the organization and provide critical support and infrastructure for our youth program.
